# Marvin Gaye - What's Going On
I understand that this album is considered to be one of the most influential R&B albums of all time. 3 listens in and it's not doing it for me. There must be something I am missing.
4th and 5th listen. There are some things which cannot be helped. I shall leave this for now and move onto something else.
Lyrically the album deals with important topics which were and still issues.
That said I cannot hold off any longer. Onto #2, Pet Sounds. Sorry Marvin, it's just a bit too much for me.
